Special Processes
Below are all the special processes we can apply to your promotional mugs to give your mugs that unique factor you could be looking for.
Laser Etching
Laser Etching results in an embossed image ‘carved’ into the glaze of an earthenware beaker, exposing the white clay biscuit of the mug. This gives the product a tactile appeal as well as visual.
The minimum run for laser etching is 1500. Artwork should be supplied as a vector/line image as a single colour separation.
3D
One way to make your message stand out! Moulded or shaped clay is placed onto the surface of the mug prior to glazing. The shaping can then be coloured using transfer prints placed onto the beaker surface and the 3D shaping.
The minimum run for 3D is 1500 pieces. Artwork should be supplied as a vector/line image as a single colour separation.
Embossing
Embossing can be used on any of our direct printable shapes, in either silver or gold, for a matt, slightly proud image. This method is ideal for designs such as; motifs, shields and heraldry that require a raised mark.
This method is only suitable for direct or transfer printing.
Iridescent
The iridescent process is ideal for earthenware and bone china. As many as 5 metallic colours are used to create a mug that is a unique in its appearance.
Not suitable for larger runs or transfer printing.
Organic
Ideal for achieving very bright colours and can be used on both earthenware and bone china.
These colours are cured onto the mug, therefore it is not dishwasher or microwave safe.
Frosted
This method creates a light catching, frosted effect. This method is ideal for bold print areas on both earthenware and bone china.
Not dishwasher or microwave safe.
